Add a CommentOther reviews have called this graphic novel charming, whimsical, ironic, unique and hilarious. I fully agree! A series of interconnected tales - the first is a re-telling of Sleeping Beauty and sheds some light on the origins of Castle Waiting- are also examples of friendship, caring for others and loyalty. Not all the characters' background are explained, and this may frustrate some readers. However, the tales contained in vol. 1, such as Sister Peace and the nuns of Saint Wilgeforte are satisfying in themselves. I, for one, am looking forward to vol. 2
A totally engaging read! I'm new to graphic novels and I really loved it. Funny, thoughtful and not at all what you'd expect.
Lots of old time favourites with a new twist.
The story changes all the time and is sometimes hard to follow. It borrows some Christian stories ideas. Book layout is in comic book style, with many chapters.
