This book marks the epic conclusion of the best book series of all time. Throughout the whole series, Harry's life has been leading him up to what he must do to save the wizard world: to find and destroy the last few Horcruxes and to finally stop the evil Lord Voldemort with the help of Ron and Hermione. After six stories that build up to this astounding finish, it ends at where it all began at Hogwarts with a final showdown that wraps up an amazing story.

great! really exiting and good for all ages! (including grownups) :)

This is a great finish to an amazing series this thrilling novel sees Harry's life change completely, where the wizarding world's existence lies on his shoulders. He has to find the last of Voldemort's Horcruxes to save his and everyone else's lives. Harry, Hermione and Ron make up a great team that have so many great adventures and ups and downs. Love blossoms, lives are lost, heartbreak is felt but all it really comes down to is weather Darkness is conquered or embraced. I would definitely recommend this book, it is a great finish the story and a very sad farewell to Harry and his team.

An enjoyable book, though not the best of the series, the final book sees us through Harry’s final battle. And while Rowling’s series ended strongly, it had several shortcomings as well. The pacing was both a strength and weakness of the book. It was exciting, boring, thrilling, dull (and a bit trite once or twice); always appropriate for the circumstances but going back and forth between long uneventful periods to momentous discoveries and encounters made the book feel disjointed. As the last book in the series, exposition is to be expected, but not to such an extent. Several chapters are dedicated to it, and while, often in a semi-creative way, the earliest portion went on far too long. The backgrounds that are revealed give flaw and thereby flesh to the characters; they become much more human and alive. All in all, it’s a great read and a befitting finale.

I honestly don't remember reading the first 2 books of harry potter or even if i died or just skipped through it since I was forced to read it, I thought the series was amazing. To all of you book lovers that love suspense, mystery, enthralling plots, and magic, this would be the place to start. Too bad I miss reading those series but if I try to read them again it won't be the same like it used to be in the old days. ='(

the first book was the best

Voldemort and his army of Death Eaters arrive at Hogwarts as well. Harry's friends defend him against the Death Eaters. Following Dumbledore's death, Voldemort continues to gain support and increase his power. When Harry turns seventeen, the protection he has at his aunt and uncle's house will be broken. Before that can happen, at Mad Eye Moody's suggestion, Harry flees to the Burrow with his friends, many of whom use Polyjuice Potion to impersonate him so as to confuse any Death Eaters that may attack. They are indeed attacked shortly after leaving Privet Drive; Mad Eye is killed, and George Weasley wounded, but the rest arrive safely at the Burrow. Harry, Ron, and Hermione know they cannot return to Hogwarts School for their seventh year. Instead, they decide to finish the quest Dumbledore started: to hunt and destroy Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes, objects in which he has hidden parts of his soul for the purpose of being immortal. They isolate themselves to ensure their friends and families' safety. They have little knowledge about the remaining horcruxes except the possibility that two are objects once belonging to Hogwarts founders Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff and a third may be Nagini, Voldemort's snake familiar. The whereabouts of the two founders' objects is unknown, and Nagini is presumed to be with Voldemort. As they search for the Horcruxes, the trio learn more about Dumbledore's past. Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour are married, but the wedding is disrupted by the news that Voldemort has taken over the Ministry of Magic

Harry, Ron and Hermione have quit Hogwarts and are on the run to do just what they promised Dumbledore - defeat all of Voldemort's horcruxes. But it is not as easy as it looks. Along the way, Harry also overcomes many more mysteries in need of desperate answers - who was this mysterious thief? Was Dumbledore a traitor? Where are the Deathly Hallows? With all the challenges, and questions ahead of them, Harry, Ron and Hermione strive so hard to find all the horcruxes - only to face a terrible fate back at Hogwarts.

An epic end to an epic series. Voldemort has taken over the Ministry and Hogwarts, and the Golden Trio is now on the run. Will they manage to destroy or the Horcruxes before it's too late- or will the Death Eaters catch up with them? How do you remain hidden when the whole world recognizes your face...

Begun a decade ago and encompassing six shelf-bending novels, the seventh and concluding volume of the international literary phenomenon that is the Harry Potter saga comes to a bombshell-packed -- and oh so satisfying -- conclusion in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, arguably the most wildly anticipated release in modern publishing history.

Awesome! This is such an amazing book I wish it would last for ever! I saw the Part 2 Movie the other day and it was amazing <3! King's Cross Station was done perfectly :D The only criticism I have of the movie is the end battle of Hogwarts, they cut out the House Elves, and Buckbeck and the Centaurs (Foly :p) and the Giants helping to fight and kill the Death Eaters. They also cut out that Harry and Voldemort were supposed to fight in the Great Hall and Harry would tell him about the Hollows and everything... but whatever. Great Book <3 Good Movie :D
