Add a CommentMiles, a bit of a tough guy, and his family takes shelter in the Super Dome in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hits. Miles learns to survive in the dome along with the other crazy things going on. It was okay realistic fiction. It is a very slow read. I would recommend it to anyone 14 or older.
An intense, gritty story of the horrific experience many endured during and after Katrina. This book will haunt you with thoughts about how disasters can bring out the worst in some. However, it does offer a hopeful view that even seemingly irreparable relationships can be mended.
It's an okay book.Alittle confusing for my taste. I would recommend it to teens and older because it has some words and scenes that aren't appropriate for little kids. But overall, B-. Hopes this helps your choice =D
