This book is great! The next book in the series--the one about the Vanishing Violin--is even better, in my opinion.

I agree with my sister that there are some things, including swear words and Sophie's crush, that I don't like, but still it's a great book!

A book of mystery and adventure for girls. I had fun reading this book to my son (7) and daughter (11). My daughter would have loved to have been one of the girls in the story! I recommend this book for girls 11 and older.

Like its sequels, the detective and actual adventure part of the story is great. I'd say I loved the book, but then we come to the characters....twelve (or is it 11? I think it might be) year old girls who spend as much time mooing over…
