Although the item I got was scratched on track 3, it didn't much mess up the enjoyment of the album. Although the album is short (42 minutes) the 8 songs are good, well ordered, and they've aged well.
All of the songs are good, but I most liked tracks 1(!) and 4(!).

Just before New Year’s Eve 1968 Led Zeppelin opened for Vanilla Fudge at The P.N.E. They came back in the spring and Vanilla Fudge opened for them at The Agrodome, this is seared in my brain through heightened synapses. This album followed them around the country and blew them cyclonically into history. The album was rehearsed and took 10 days to record. Jimmy Page knew what he wanted, how to produce an album through years of being a session musician, and the outcome was this explosive LP. A hint of the power is on the second cd which contains an early live Parisian concert. John Bonham and John Paul Jones cement the beat, Jimmy and Robert improve the blues, and while it sounds sophomoric today, fifty years ago it was orgiastic. Technology and evolving musical genres contributed to this and one has to thank The Grateful Dead for introducing improvisation into rock, which Zeppelin and The Dead did every concert. This LP is seminal.

🍆 You know, if you squint hard, this cover art almost looks like a…oh, no, they couldn't have meant that.

Ironically this was heavily criticized when it first came out, but the critics were wrong, as usual. It is unique and very different, even though many of the songs are covers.

Bulls-eye for Led Zeppelin IV - Besides "Stairway to Heaven" - I also like "The Battle Of Evermore" and "Misty Mountain Hop", too.

This is a 2-disc set that offers the listener remixes of most of this album's 8 tracks.
