Comment
Add a CommentThis is a beautiful book with beautiful illustrations about an underappreciated American treasure and "s/hero". Hurston's own life deserves to be celebrated, in the same manner she celebrated the lives of African-Americans. Highly recommend this book! Great introduction to Hurston!
*Inspires readers to "climb the tree" and reach for the sky. *Simple sentence structure is good for young readers, not too wordy or overwhelming. *Wonderful tale. *May be used to encourage having a private place to go and think and dream.
