James Stewart is one of the most honored and popular stars in film history. Behind actors, Humphrey Bogart and Cary Grant - Stewart is considered to be the 3rd greatest male screen-legend of Hollywood's "Golden Age".

Born (1908) in Indiana, Pennsylvania - Stewart's acting career spanned for 55 years (1935-1990). In that period of time he appeared in a total of 92 feature films, television programs, and shorts.

Stewart had a very likable and down-to-earth screen persona and he easily adapted himself to many film genres, such as - Comedies, Thrillers, and Westerns.

This well-researched biography by Gary Fishgall also includes a 16-page photo gallery.

*Note* - In 1997 - James Stewart (89 at the time) died due to artery blockage in his lungs.
