Every one of Bishop Spong's books (24 as of 2015) should be required reading for every believer on the planet, as well as those of ex-fundamentalist preachers Bart Ehrman and Dan Barker. This is especially true for the 'religious illuminati' of every tribe right up to their believer-in-chief whatever their title is - like pope. Unfortunately, many of them like Anglican apologizer Alister McGrath have a history of attacking Spong's theology, so, never mind. These people will have to pass before a new generation can even begin to accept that many of the beliefs of all sanctimonius illuminati are nothing more than fairy tales as German Catholic professor Uta Ranke-Heinemann calls them, at least the Christian ones.
