I agree about the defective discs, although I was finally able to watch most of the first episode. I remember watching the series on PBS years ago and liking it. It's very well done, but has such violence in it that I don't want to watch the series again, even if I could borrow an undamaged set of discs. The plot and characters are wonderfully done, but be prepared for terrifying scenes and things blowing up. It is, after all, about terrorism.

I checked out one set, which turned out to be defective; all three disks, so returned it and
was sent another set, also defective. The disks wouldn't advance beyond a short (about two minute) video of a masked man breaking into an office - it just kept repeating. I am now in
line for a THIRD set. I hope the third time's the charm. I don't understand why the defective disks continued in circulation.

Liked the show until they killed off the main characters later on in series. What's with that? Just start a different show already!

Halfway decent little BBC TV potboiler about British domestic spooks with likable 2½ dimensional characters and lots of formerly trendy annoying camera work and editing. As the season progresses the characters get somewhat more interesting and the individual program plots seem more and more designed just to develop the regular characters.
