AnnieDVD - 2003
From the critics
Frightening or Intense Scenes: The end scene in which the main character is climbing up a bridge/ladder thingy and a villain is chasing her.
Sexual Content: Flirting, mild kissing, and a song in which the lead villain attempts to have a supporting character fall in love with her.
Violence: The lead villain beats the orphans and breaks/rips up their toys. Attempt/discussion of kidnapping.
Sexual Content: kissing on bosom and too much sexually explicit flirting. I was shocked and upset that I let my kids watch.
Frightening or Intense Scenes: The end scene is pretty intense, as Annie is threatened with death and almost falls off of a tall tower.
Sexual Content: Miss Hannigan drunkenly flirts with almost every man she comes across, and she tries to seduce Warbucks when he tries to adopt Annie. (She fails.) Grace and Warbucks kiss.
Violence: Miss Hannigan is drunk 99% of the time, and threatens to beat the children several times. A man throws a bomb into Warbucks' mansion. Nobody is harmed. Rooster threatens to kill Annie towards the end, and he seems to mean it. He tries to loosen her grip on a tower she's clinging onto, and she cries and screams for help. She is eventually saved.
