I almost stopped reading this when I saw that the female protagonist (it's told from twin perspectives, a male and female) was a liar and overachiever and not very likable, but as the story progressed and the two got into deeper and deeper water, and the humor of the situation escalated, I couldn't stop reading. Very entertaining, a laugh-out-loud story. I don't like the message about lying, but I loved the old-fashioned clueless parents and the over-the-top situation both twin characters find themselves in. Worth reading.
