harvey managed to make the dog owners pick up their animals' refuse. would the ex- supervisor have shot the mayor, had it not been for harvey? should you be interested in a further exploration of a troubled region, as well as some troubled politicians, you are referred to an excellent book about it all, DOUBLE PLAY, THE CITY HALL KILLINGS, by Mike Weiss.

A straightforward chronology of the murder of Milk and the mayor of San Fransciso by a disturbed colleague. Good historical documentation of a period.

With last year marking the 30th anniversary of Harvey Milk’s death I wanted to see this documentary again. This is a wonderful documentary about Milk’s political career and events leading up to his death. Milk was a politician that built a community and it is sad to see someone like him struck down in his prime. This documentary won the 1984 academy award for best documentary. Staff picks 2009
