Here in their own words are Frederick Douglas, George Jackson, Chief Joseph, Martin Luther King Jr, Plough Jogger, Sacco and Vanzetti, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Mark Twain, and Malcolm X, to name just a few of the hundreds of voices that appear in this volume. Identical in size and format to Zinn's A People's History, the 24 chapters parallel those of that book, and each text is prefaced by a short introduction written by Zinn.

Enlightening book; A must read for any person sedulously seeking the truth about the subtleties of American or even global economic faults and the solutions that may exists to alleviate one from such detriments.
