I always thought that Rick Steves is highly praised partly because he is our local man, from Edmonds.
After reading this guide, I state that Rick Steves is brilliant, compassionate, humorous, caring and extremely helpful guide.
I knew a bit about Prague and the country's history, but I learned so much more from the book. This guide is very practical and describes best routes, prices, ways to see things for free, ways to get most out of your trip.
The most surprising and touching about the book is the compassion and deep respect for the country and its people and culture.
I highly recommend it.
