The Isley Brothers have been around forever and seem to have recorded from the 1960s to today! Disc 1 starts with their version of Twist And Shout, includes their classic That Lady and has their cover of the Motown classic This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak For You). Ends with Move Over and Let Me Dance (with Jimi Hendrix on guitar – Jimi got his early start with the Isleys). Disc 1 ends with the classic Shout (never knew it was written by the Isleys!) Disc 2 starts with It’s Your Thing then sort of descends into their disco era songs and ends with a song performed by R. Kelly and a couple of the Isleys. Not sure how many Isley Brothers there were – at least five, one singer was a brother-in-law. I remember them from Soul Train and shows like that. Fun to hear them again.

This item, The Essential Isley Brothers, was returned to the Gregory Heights library on Wednesday, January 29th along with some other items that I had checked out on the same receipt.

Can you please check your records again as I do know FOR SURE that it was returned into the drop off slot inside of the Gregory Heights library building.

Thank you,

Shelly Buschel
