In the wake of Argentina's spectacular economics collapse, Latin America's most prosperous middle class finds itself in a ghost town of abandoned factories and mass unemployment. Explores how Argentina's 2001 economic collapse, where a prosperous middle-class economy was destroyed during 10 years of IMF policies, impacted the lives of ordinary workers. Follows 30 unemployed auto-parts workers, who stage a protest against their bosses and economic globalization by occupying their closed factory and refusing to leave.

A great achievement, explaining the destructive aspects of lassez-faire capitalism and how the people fought back! At present, although there is much misinformation and disinformationn propagated in America [the BLS not counting 93 million American citizens in unemployment figures, instead proclaiming them as having dropped out of the workforce, awaiting by poolside until the economy somehow appears better?!?!?!?] only the reserve currency status of the US dollar is saving one-half of the population, especially the .01%, but that can change . . .

May 2013....A real eye-opener for me. Don't miss the special features, especially the little film on Gustavo. I have a new appreciation of Canada......well....I guess we have had our scuffles here as well, there was that thing in Toronto that got way out of hand.......If you have read Naomi Klien's "No Logo," you will probably find this very interesting. I lent it to some friends before sending it back, and their 15 year old was very interested in it. "A great Social Studies video," was the comment I received from friends.
