Very disappointing! I had watched "As Time Goes By" and was hoping for something as good. This was just dumb! I watched 2 episodes and that was more than enough.

always hated this show. actually, in england where it was made, it was broadcast as "the good life", a play on the characters name. who knows why they changed it for america. actually, its because i hate the goody 2 shoes felicity kendall that i cant stand this unfunny show.

This is one of my favorite comedies! It is absolutely charming and witty! Briers and Kendal have a great chemistry together! There are no weak episodes! Brilliant!

Also known as The Good Life, this series is funny and timeless. Richard Briers and Felicity Kendall are shining stars. If you like F.K., be sure to watch To the Manor Born. R.B. is charming in his older years in Monarch of the Glen.

Tom and Barbara Good are a young couple who have tired of bending to the will of London's rat race and decided to throw it all in and turn to farming. In the backyard of their 1970s London suburban house.

This series is one of my all-times favorites. I love how the Goods relate to one another, and how much gumption and innovation they demonstrate in raising pigs and recycling everything they can get their hands on, despite tensions this inevitably raised with their upscale-but-lovable neighbors.

Thirty years later, when urban chicken coops, "upcycling" and vegetable gardens have become popular in my city, it's fascinating to see how the Goods did it, way before their time. Fictionally, of course.

I was very small when I first watched this program, and I'm pretty sure it had a formative influence. A good one.

(Oh, and who couldn't love the actress Felicity Kendall?)
