What is your American dream? How many years would you work to achieve it, or to help your friend or family member achieve theirs? This documentary film follows Mark Borchardt as he pursues his passion to make movies, with support from some family members and friends. At times, the dialogue and situations are so perfect and hilarious you'll wonder how it could possibly be real. As the saying goes, truth is stranger is fiction. I recommend it for fans of independent movies, especially documentaries and horror films.

A heartbreaking but ultimately inspiring account of a would-be Wisconsin filmmaker doggedly pursuing his passion.

"Coven, man, we gotta get this sucker done, though. Seriously. Last night, man, I was so drunk, I was calling Morocco, man. Calling, trying to get to the Hotel Hilton at Tangiers in Casablanca, man. That's, I mean, that's, that's pathetic, man! Is that what you wanna do with your life? Suck down peppermint schnapps and try to call Morocco at two in the morning? That's senseless! But that's what happens, man."

"It's pronounced coe-ven, man. What else could it be pronounced?"
"Cuh-ven. That's the proper pronunciation."
"No, no, no. No, no. . .Cuh-ven sound like oven, man. And that's just, it doesn't work."

This is my kind of documentary. Unique characters you just can't make up & decisions that baffle. If you like King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, or Anvil: Story of Anvil, then this is right up your alley!
