There is an art to a good ghost story that is severely lacking in this book. Many times the small blurbs about the haunted places presented in this book is nothing more than "some say they hear a baby crying at night" or "people often get the feeling of being watched."

In some sections there is a lot of great history, but that is it. The ghost stories are lacking and often it feels as if it is very poorly researched. There are a few locations that I'm very familiar with the fascinating history and the complicated stories of haunting that go with it only to sadly be blown over and very poorly retold in this book.

As I said before it is a nice history book, but when it comes to spirits in Seattle, which this book is written about, I would skip it. Did the tour and wasn't a fan. Read the book hoping it would be better, but I was wrong.
