Very noir mystery/thriller with the excellently evil Kristen Scott Thomas and her equally badass protege Ludivine Sagnier. Very well done drama with intriguing loose ends not tied up till the end. Well worth a watch!

Watch this original because the remake is coming to a screen near you! Director Brian de Palma hasn't made a good movie
in years and Rachel McAdams and Naomi Rapace are simply no match for Kristin Scott-Thomas and Ludivine Sagnier who are more versatile and better actresses. The original is more like a deadlier All about Eve set in the cut-throat corporate milieu and the remake turns them into...lesbians?

Totally farfetched but a decent amount of fun.

The two leads deserve much, much better than this murderous take on "Working Girl". A real tip-off of how sloppy this is as that one never really knows what business these two cut-throat broads are in.(Just that they're both absolutely brilliant at it,and it takes them all over the world). The misogyny of this movie is absolutely palpable; beginning with the barely sublimated lesbian angle, Yes, of course all women in positions of power are single-minded sharks who think of everyone around them as prey, who have no sense of allegiance, and who view mentorship simply as just another way to take credit for the efforts of their subordinates. (While sharing lipsticks, yet). One would think that by this time, we'd have progressed a bit further in our view of professional, powerful women. But the French boys are still scared, it seems. Dommage.

Movie is alright; doesn't deserve some of the enthused reviews it seems to be getting. Kristin Scott Thomas did a great job and is convincing as the career-driven boss who manipulates and calculates her way to the top. Ludivine Sagnier, on the other hand, is lackluster in a key role of the movie, and IMO, is miscast for her role. I simply couldn't really see her as an important executive in any company. Overall, where the movie lacks the most is the script and pacing. At times, it seems to play like a low budget made-for-tv movie, and the supposed central theme of the movie, **** for love, is not really supported by this movie.

Two smart but cunning women in the world of advertising plot to destroy each other. Can do without the last few minutes of the movie that was a stale attempt to add more intrigue to the filled to the brim of twists and turns ...

An excellent murder adventure. Although at first we are not sure who kills who, once the murder is complete and the culprit known, it is interesting to learn just how she gets away with her crime. However, we are left with the question of weather the culprit will now have to kill again to silence her friend or match wits with him as she did before with the woman she murdered.

A French movie that doesn't have its sophistication. A interesting story line that failed to come up with a great script. Even the choice of Guillaume Marquet as Daniel to portray that much needed mystery failed to elicit that quality.
