On the fumes of a dream, twin brothers Gary and Larry Lane have written a script with a plum role for one of their idols, Dolly Parton. Having had no luck getting the screenplay into her hands, they embark on a cross-country journey to personally deliver it to her. They set off from Dolly's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame heading east for Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in an RV named Jolene. Featuring 15 classic Dolly Pardon songs.

Netflix continues to supply me with really teriffic gay films while the NYPL keeps buying junk like this. What is it about people who live on the West Coast? Do they all have the brains of a Kardashian as well as the drive? This documentary of two demented 35-year old gay twins who hatch a plot to travel across country to meet their idol Dolly Parton is as stoopid as the last library gem I saw about some gay California idiot who keeps marrying females to make money (The Wife Master). These people all need to face reality and grow-up. As for poor time-worn Dolly, she got her big push in the 70's appearing on the Johnny Carson show. Unlike Cher, she has not turned back the hands of time. These boys carry-on like she's Lady Gaga or something. The worst part of this doc is the constant whining about Mamma not accepting her queer sons. So what? Moving to California was a good idea. Now, forget it. Let her stew in her own Christian juices. Get a life, and a job, and forget Mamma. She's a bully, not worth all the hand-wringing.
