This is a collection of several artists' journal pages and insights into why they journal. It was boring and the journal pages were mostly ugly. Journaling is one of those intimate things that is very personal. These were all "artistic" and not in a good way.

I absolutely loved this book! The featured artists were very generous about sharing their techniques. Many of those techniques were accessible too. There was so much inspiring and practical advice on making artwork and finding your way in art. This one's a keeper - I have to buy a copy!

I found this book to be very interesting because it isn't just a how to book. It gives a some techniques that the artists who are mentioned in the book use. It really helped me to see that there are several ways to keep an art journal. Although there are some that look more like regular sketchbooks to me as opposed to being an art journal.
