My bet is that this book is “by” Jennifer McCrea for name recognition only. It looks to me like it is really written by whoever Karl Webber is. It reads more like he attended one of the workshops Jennifer McCrea and Jeffrey Walker gave and then wrote about it. From the writing, I would bet that Webber has little fundraising experience if any at all. And equally little knowledge of networking and building connections with people/donors.

I had heard good things about McCrea and Walker so I was shocked at how poor this book is. I am left wondering why they put their names on this if I am correct about the real authorship. And if I am wrong, then I am left wondering about the quality of the workshops they give.

Anyway, there are FAR better fundraising books out there. McCrea’s website is good and has good information on Jeffersonian Dinners. It is just this book that is mediocre at best.
