I liked this film for Jewel's portrayal of June Carter and as a period piece -- overall though I found it disappointing and leaving me wanting for more. The film seemed soft in its delivery and lower budget, perhaps as though based on 'the feeling' of the June Carter-Cash's story but not as much based around reenacting the history. I think it would have been a far better film had it been produced akin to the caliber of Walk the Line -- IMO that would have been service to June and her memory.

another version of June and Johnny. mildly entertaining.

First this is supposed to be her side of things, they really don't go into either of her first marriages, most of the scenes are the same from the Walk the Line movie. She does a good job of playing her character, he is no Johnny Cash though - there are tons of impersonators out there that sound like the real guy, they really should have found a different male lead. I did like that they showed some of the rehab parts. This one is a hit and miss for me really.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance.

Jewel does a great job portraying June Carter Cash before and after her marriage to Johnny Cash. The music is great too!
