Writing and script really offensive on so many levels - - although acting wasn't too bad; Daniel Henney improves with each movie he's made, Coupe's timing was excellent and Zhu Zhu looks good, the movie was just horribly shallow and insipid to the degree it sounds like a propaganda tract, which indeed it may well be?! [The scene meant to engender sympathy for Zhu Zhu's character was completely nonsensical and lacking in any worth!]
All Chinese are good and geniuses, and trustworthy - - all exploiters are foreigners and please ignore the contradictory events in this movie. Why people are routinely disappeared, arrested if they dare complain about anything, and Xi Jinping just altered the Chinese constitution making himself emperor for life.
The original author of the Chinese constitution was Xi Jinping's father - - small world, huh?
Whether they are called Princelings, or the Select, or the Immortals - - welcome the new dynasty, same as the old dynasty!
America and China grow closer every day - - values-wise - - a scary proposition!

We really, really enjoyed this film!

Could have been a good movie, if it hadn't been so horribly bad.
