It is hard for me to be unbiased about this classic mini-series. When it first aired in the '80's, it truly was a big deal with lots of plot surprises and a few defining moments that still make it on "20 Best Moments in TV" lists. The special effects aren't as good as one would find today, but they are still impressive. In a way, this isn't really a show about aliens. It's a show about how a dictatorship or totalitarian regime could come about, with the Visitors in place of say, the Nazi's. It deals with how oridinary people are affected by something they have little to no control over, who strongly feel something is not quite right. Highly recommended, even if you are not a SF buff.

This movie was not done well at all. This movie was terrible “Dumb, boring and stupid.” Waste of time waste and of Electrical power.

Wooden acting and it hasn't, in my opinion, aged well.
