"Action-packed and full of gallows humour."-- The Sunday Telegraph

Death is Simon's business. Now the aging vermin exterminator is preparing to die. But he still has one last job down on the coast and he needs a driver. Bernard is twenty-one. He can drive and he's never seen the sea. As the unlikely pair set off on their journey, Bernard soon discovers Simon's definition of vermin is broader than he'd expected . . .

This offbeat story is an affecting study of human frailty.

Likened to Georges Simenon, Pascal Garnier wrote from his home in the Ard#65533;che mountains until his death in 2010.

A very quick read. Author let's the reader's imagination fill-in such things as: what IS his psychological make-up? What motivates? Strange characters! Bonus points for realism AND originality. I am putting other Pascal Garnier fiction in my queue
