This is the extended version of “That Thing You Do!” It was fun. I’ve seen the theatrical version of the movie so many times, that I can run the dialog as I’m watching it :). This version has almost 45 minutes added by the director, Tom Hanks!
Not much that changes the plot, but fun anyway. I’m really glad I looked for and patiently waited for it. If you’re a big fan of the original version, this will be like a dollop of whipped cream on top, not really necessary, but yummy anyway.

Fun movie about a 1960s American rock n roll band. Steven Tyler's daughter looks good in it. Good music like early-mid period Beatles.

Pretty good movie but not much action! Kind of boring at times!

This is one of my very favorite movies. The actors, the story line, the dialogue, the songs (!), all meld into perfection. Good job, Tom Hanks!

Really well done little movie. Especially enjoyable for folks who remember the 60s and 70s.

This is an enjoyable movie. What fun to see a no-name band become a nationwide sensation. The director's cut is a little more risque, but I liked it, too. An interesting fact is that these actors didn't play instruments before they got the job, but learned what they needed for the movie. It's actually them playing all of the parts.
