Just be aware that the end of season 1 to the beginning of season 2 is not a straight line. The story continues but is not on any of the discs.

A look at the meaning of appropriate justice in a world where good versus evil is separated by a very thin line. Where stepping over that line has repercussions in loyalty and forgiveness.
Some complex issues and again moments of high drama.
Even more blood and spilled guts. Watch your step!

Big drop off in quality from the first season. Interior shots are mostly dark to save on set design. No, or at most a bare few, exterior shots of Juarez. Most glaring is the quality of writing. Season one featured spectacular cliffhangers, with intricate character development and intersecting plot lines. Season two basically abandons major characters and plot lines of season one. To compensate it features the always wonderful Franka Potente, more nudity from Diane Kruger, and an interesting DEA vs. CIA story arc.

This is a good continuation of Season 1. Plenty of violence and blood. So be warned. Character development is good, and I continue to find some of the odd-ball characters interesting. I look forward to watching Season 3 soon.

I ended up watching all & may ask for 1st yr. It is very violent; to the point of... well, beyond that point. I guess if there are "chick flicks" this isn't one of those, "macho, mi amigo".
