Catalyst is the last book in the trilogy, written by S.J Kincaid, the first book being Insignia and the second being Vortex. This book is an amazing conclusion to the trilogy, as questions are answered, and all ends are tied up. As the characters' true intentions and secrets are revealed, things heat up in the life of Tom Raines, the seventeen year old main character. Tom Raines is facing against more than he can handle, as he grows to be very independent and passionate about his freedom. As the trilogy ends, all the characters face their own conflicts and grow together to create an amazing conclusion to the fantastic trilogy. Overall, this book is the perfect ending to Tom’s journey, with 5/5 stars I recommend this book to 13 year olds and older.

SO GOOD, MUST READ! (But make sure you read book 1 and 2 first :P)

The final installment of the Insignia series does not disappoint, that much is certain. From the first word to the last, this book grabs you, and makes you feel things you didn't know you could feel. The character arcs and development were spot on, the writing and plot masterfully crafted, and overall enjoyable. After reading this series, it'll make you look at the world differently, because no matter how futuristic and sci-fi it is, Catalyst makes you wonder, what if...? In this capitalist world we live in, what if the future we're headed to is the very future Tom Raines fought against?
5/5, This book was everything a last book should be.
