The newest novel by Jacquelyn Frank is a gem for devoted fans of The Nightwalker series. Fans will finally enjoy the long-held prophecy begin to take form, as twelve races of Nightwalkers (divided into two groups, one always invisible to the other, as part of a long-stahnding curse) discover that they have existed amongst each other all this time. Katrina Haynes, former nurse, lives alone in the woods in Washington state with her beloved dog, and on a nighttime walk, discovers a naked, wounded man clinging to life in the snow. Being nursed as close to health as possible, Gargoyle-hybrid Ahnvil is eternally grateful, wonderfully entertaining, and intensely attracted to his lifesaver. But by helping nurse an escaped gargoyle, Katrina has placed herself in the middle of a war and she has no idea the valuable role she is about to play.
