Dear Reader, I wasn't going to write a sequel to Me Before You. But for years, readers kept asking and I kept wondering what Lou did with her life. In the end the idea came, as they sometimes do, at 5:30 in the morning, leaving me sitting bolt upright in my bed and scrambling for my pen.It has been such a pleasure revisiting Lou and her family, and the Traynors, and confronting them with a whole new set of issues. As ever, they have made me laugh, and cry. I hope readers feel the same way at meeting them--especially Lou--again. And I'm hoping that those who love Will will find plenty to enjoy.--Jojo Moyes From the Hardcover edition.

Romantic love saves the day - again!
Something I just don't see in life. Plus where is the spiritual element in all this. Do these people not have souls! P.S. Once you've had sex, do you not have a "relationship" as well?
Just asking

I didn't find the sequel as good as the first book, "Me Before You." It was good, but it lacked that something. I really liked Will in the first book, and I think he made Me Before You, what it was. After You just didn't have the same feel. Still good though.

I liked this one much better than the first. Great characters, fast easy read, with quirky Englishness galore.

A grand sequel with lots of plot twists.

I really enjoyed the sequel. A different "feel" compared to 'Me Before You' but a heartwarming story. Louisa has a gift of healing "broken souls".

I loved the movie and I gave Me Before You 3 stars because the end was not good for me, but this book?
Awful!!!, everything good that I liked about the movie and Me Before you, this book ruined it!
I should not have read it and just keep the good memory of the movie and other book, now I wont recommend it to anybody. I hated it, UGHH!

This is more uplifting that the first book and funny in parts. It is an easy read but the Louisa is still whiny in parts and it is hard to always 'like' her. It is also hard to understand her position. Overall though it is a nice way to bring some closure after the heart wrenching Me Before You.

Great read, definitely a page turner. I was skeptical of a sequel, but it actually turned out pretty good. However, I found that overall, Me Before You was slightly more captivating than this one. Would definitely recommend for those who enjoyed the first book.

This story's lesson on grief will stick with me for sometime.

I loved this book, even more so than Me Before You. It was nice to read of what happened to Lou after, but with Lily it was definitely a surprise

Although not as good as Me Before You, Moyes' novel After You was very good. It continues the story of Louisa Clark two years after Will's death. She has a difficult time adjusting to her current life/world, but she realizes she has grown because of her life with Will and now she fears loving too much and losing that love. . . once again. But, by joining a recovery group, ironically, she discovers she is fine and loves again.

[New love interest for Louisa, maybe?]

"Who is this?" I said, though I knew immediately who it was. "Sam. Ambulance Sam. I was just passing by on the way home from work, and I just... Well, you left in such a hurry the other night, I thought I'd make sure you were okay." "A fortnight later? I could have been eaten by cats by now." "I'm guessing you weren't." "I don't have a cat." A short silence. "But I'm fine, Ambulance Sam. Thanks." "Great...That's good to hear." I shifted, so I could see him through the grainy black and white of the little entry video screen. He was wearing a biker jacket instead of his paramedics uniform, and had one hand resting against the wall. He took his hand off the wall and turned to face the road. I saw him let out a breath, and that small motion prompted me to speak. "So...what are you up to?"-excerpt, After You

Lily Houghton-Miller: "My dad had the hots for you. How mad is that? Oh, my God! In a different universe, you could have been MY STEPMUM."
