Might appeal to adolescent anti-capitalist viewers, but not my cup of tea.

Definitely one of the smartest TV shows I've seen, and one of my favourites. The unreliable narrator really adds a lot to an already brilliantly-written show. Worth checking out!

Mr. Robot is one of my favorite shows that I've ever seen and that says a lot because I've watched tons of shows in my lifetime. One of the first things that drew me in was the music that plays during the course of each episode. The most captivating and personally touching television show I've ever watched. Rami Malek is brilliant. Every single episode is better and better as it goes. This is one of those shows that you should watch over again because you'll be able to see things that you missed.

Couldn't view it. No closed captions for the hearing impaired. Plus the menu with its silly symbols turned me off. How are we supposed to know what it meant? I was disappointed that I was unable to view it since the story line/theme looks interesting. Oh well. Maybe it was produced for youngsters with good hearing.

This is not a review of the TV show Mr. Robot, but on the poor quality of the DVD's I have received. (DVD TV MIS c. 12)

Hard to like because I found the drug and violence stuff distasteful , but wonderfully ambitious and intelligent, mysterious and relevant. On to season 2!

This was not rated and it really should have a rating beyond PG13. I don't condone putting stuff up your nose to function. And I am not interested in watching people graphically getting it on on TV . Sex and drugs do not bolster a weak story line. I am sorry if I upset those who loved this but I was quite disappointed, and, this is my comment. I make many positive comments when merited.

If you are a connoisseur of our new golden age of television; if you like intricate plots and political thrillers; if you enjoy eclectic soundtracks, then you'll get a lot of pleasure out of MR. ROBOT. Its production values alone are worth checking out the season one DVD. It's like watching ten episodes of a big budget Hollywood film. Imagine THE PARALLAX VIEW in a TV series updated for the digital age of "peak neoliberalism."

Really started out slow. Got good for about 3 episodes, and then it turned into a General-Hospital-esque soap opera. Kind disappointing. Stopped watching after episode 7.

Great season of a hacker trying to do good things for the world. The first episode had me hooked!

Elliot: I'm gonna be normal now. Maybe Shayla could even be my girlfriend. I'll go see those stupid Marvel movies with her. I'll join a gym. I'll heart things on Instagram. I'll drink vanilla lattes.

rightous and beautiful, spoken true.

Elliot, voice-over: There's a saying. The devil's at his strongest while we're looking the other way, like a program running in the background silently, while we're busy doing other shit. Daemons, they call them. They perform action without user interaction. Monitoring, logging, notifications. Primal urges, repressed
memories, unconscious habits. They're always there, always active. We can try to be right, we can try to be good. We can try to make a difference, but it's all bullshit. 'Cause intentions are irrelevant. They don't drive us. Daemons do. And me? I've got more than most. ... Daemons... they don't stop working. They're always active. They seduce. They manipulate. They own us. And even though you're with me even though I created you, it makes no difference. We all must deal with them alone. The best we can hope for... the only silver lining in all of this... is that when we break through, we find a few familiar faces waiting on the other side.

Whiterose: Oh, 60 seconds and this meeting will be over.
Elliot: Wait.
Whiterose: The concept of waiting bewilders me. There are always deadlines. There are always ticking clocks. That's why you must manage your time.
Elliot: I'll find a way to remove the honeypot.
Whiterose: Until 16 seconds ago, you were not aware there was a honeypot. This does not inspire confidence.
Elliot: Wait.
Whiterose: There's that word again.
Elliot: We'll take care of it. You know you could have told us about the honeypot weeks ago.
Whiterose: Every hacker has her fixation. You hack people, I hack time. So you should know that when I set a time line, there's a reason.

Mar 22, 2016

Angela: It's just that...well, I can't help but wonder, why do you seem so confident? Everyone else is worried, but you? You're sure that you're gonna get through this. Why?
Price: Hmm. People did this. Right? I mean, aliens didn't invade our planet. Zeus didn't come out of the
heavens to destroy us. Zombies haven't risen from the dead. No. Whoever's behind this, they're just people... like you and me. Except, of course, I have the full weight of the biggest conglomerate in the world behind me. You'll come to realize that when you have that, matters like this, they tend to crack... under that weight.
Price: Angela, just a word of advice. Don't talk your way out of a compliment.

Mar 22, 2016

Krista: What is it about society that disappoints you so much?
Elliot: Oh, I don't know. Is it that we collectively thought Steve Jobs was a great man, when when we knew he made billions off the backs of children? Or maybe it's that it feels like all our heroes are counterfeit. the world itself js just a big hoax. Spamming with our running commentary of bullshit masquerading as insight, our social media faking as intimacy. Or is it that we voted for this? Not with our rigged elections, but with our things, our property, our money. I'm not saying anything new. We all know why we do this, not because Hunger Games books make us happy but because we wanna be sedated. Because it's painful not to pretend, because we're cowards.

Mar 22, 2016

Elliot: What I'm about to tell you is top secret. There's a powerful group of people out there that are secretly running the world. I'm talking about the guys, no one knows about the guys who are invisible. The top 1% of the top 1%. The guys that play God without permission. And now I think they're following me.
Tyrell: Give a man a gun and he can rob a Bank. Give a man a Bank and he can rob the world.
Tyrell: Well, now it's you and me. ... I have to know. Why did you do it? What did you hope to accomplish by doing all of this?
Elliot: I don't know. ... I wanted to save the world.
Mr. Robot: The world is a dangerous place, Elliott, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
