"Susan, Esther, and Daisy started at university three weeks ago and became fast friends. Now, away from home for the first time, all three want to reinvent themselves. But in the face of hand-wringing boys, "personal experimentation," influenza, mystery-mold, nu-chauvinism, and the willful, unwanted intrusion of "academia," they may be lucky just to make it to spring alive. Going off to university is always a time of change and growth, but for Esther, Susan, and Daisy, things are about to get a little weird."--provided from

I loved this story about 3 friends who are just starting college. The dialogue is funny at times and the art is wonderful. I can't wait to read more of this series.

Fantasic read about female friendship, college, and the drama of being a college student. The girls have no rivalry at all, so that part isn't where the drama ensues, so that is a refreshing change. There are some jumpy parts to the story that sometimes seem a little jolting but overall the pacing is good.

Really cute comic with great illustrations and stories. The only downside was that the last story ended before the last page, so I thought I had another story to go :-( I’ve already got the next couple of volumes lined up for my next quick read.

Read all the character dialogue in a British accent. (In your head, not out loud.) It will make this series even better. Giant Days may be one of the perfect first-year-of-college comedy-dramas. Three young women with rooms next to each other become friends through a series of Dramatic! Adventures! told to us in the first volume with one panel each. And that all happened in their first three weeks.

Now they're confronted with less dramatic but more complicated issues, such as the hot transfer student whom Susan mysteriously hates, Daisy's burgeoning crush on her classmate Nadia, and Esther getting ranked as highly do-able by the campus bro website. I love books about female friendship where there's zero rivalry. I love writers who can balance real emotion with banter, and Allison is one of the best. I was a little nervous about how I'd feel seeing his character Esther (one of my faves) drawn by someone else, but Treiman is a perfect fit for the goofball Allison-verse.

An entertaining graphic novel about college life, roommates and more.

I love this slice of life college comic. The jokes are funny, the friendships are good, and the shenanigans are fun.

I definitely think I'm the wrong audience for this graphic novel. I graduated college more than ten years ago, and I wasn't goth, homeschooled or carried a grudge against a person who attended college with me, so I can't really relate to the girls in the comic. It just seems crazy and all over the place. There's no set timeline for any of it, so it feels like a sunday comic strip where the characters never progress- they're stuck with the same problems and in the same rut day after day. The art is pretty, and it is funny from time to time, but I won't be continuing.

Fun, light reading. Gives a good sampling of British uni life.

The most amazing laugh-out-loud-in-public comic I've read in a while.

A good sampler of these characters, but a bit erratic in the storytelling, in my opinion. A fun jumbled look at university life.
