This unassuming little guidebook would have gained my top rating had it contained color photographs of the featured hikes and scenery. However, what this lacks in photography, it makes up for in surprisingly comprehensive trail and terrain descriptions. Try the East Inlet Trail to Lake Verna – it’s spectacular.

Rocky Mountain National Park is located northwest of Denver, spanning Grand Lake and Larimer counties and bordered on the west by the town of Grand Lake and on the east by the town of Estes Park…If you are lucky enough to live within driving distance of Rocky Mountain National Park…the 31 hikes featured here may keep you busy for years to come.
