The first book in this 1930s English mystery series (Murder is Bad Manners) was excellent, but I think this second installment might be even better. The mystery itself is clever enough to keep kids guessing (yet not so difficult as to be impossible for the keenest-eyed readers to figure out), the two main characters are vividly portrayed, and there's lots of sneaky humor. A pitch-perfect take on the traditional English country house mystery, a completely fun read for adults and kids alike.
