The title says it all. Good explanation of NSA's history and its fight with the Army, Navy Air Force intelligence organs and jockeying with the CIA, FBI and NSC from WWII through the Cold War. Not an easy read or a great one, frankly, but an important one in order understand the precursor to today's Internet- and satellite-based intelligence gathering.
