This is one of the few books which is based on studies conducted by the authors over a long period. They have a good presence on Youtube if you happen to be on hold for a book. It was refreshing to get this credible book when so many are me too variations on a theme.

A very good and readable exposition on the benefits of and research supporting a low-carb diet. The game changer in this book is the evidence they have accumulated on the negative impact of carbs on "carb intolerant" people, regardless of the source of the carbs. In this respect, it takes things further than "Wheatbelly", "Grain Brain", or Gary Taube's "Why We Get Fat".

This is a book on the "why" of a low carb diet and largely dances around the "how" issue, although quite a few breadcrumbs are dropped between the lines. If you are looking for more information on the "how", the authors of this book teamed up with Dr. Westman to write "The New Atkins For A New You". There are also a number of good websites that address low-carb diets in detail.
