As well as two features ( the embarrassing English pro - colonial drama "Sanders of the River " and the excellent " Jericho", a film very close to Robeson's heart ) , this disc also contains a fascinating documentary "True Pioneer , the British films of Paul Robeson" about Robeson's 12 years in the UK when he fled the racism in the US in 1928 to further his acting, singing and political career and became a world wide star. Well worth a look for anyone interested in this magnificent brave American.
