" So then, Hinata. . .you play volleyball because you want to beat Kageyama?"
"Hugh? Uhhh. . .
[Kageyama] Is he practicing even during lunch?
"What I want is to get good enough to beat Kageyama. If I'm that good, I'm sure I'll be able to hold my own against other really good players. . .and I won't lose games that easily. See, um. . .I don't want to lose anymore."
"Hunh. Okay. So in other words. . .in your mind, right now Kageyama is the best of anybody is THE BEST of anybody your age. Right?"
"Geh! Um! y-y-y. . .yeeh. . .Ugh. y-y. . .sss. . ."
[Suga] He really doesn't want to say YES, does he.
"If Kageyama used to be your greatest enemy. . .
"?"
"Doesn't that mean he's your GREATEST TEAMMATE now?"

A wall looms in front of me. A tall, tall wall. . .What's the view like over that wall? What will I see beyond it?
The view from the top. It's something I could never, ever see on my own. But maybe. . .if I WASN'T alone. . .I might be able to see it. . .

A smashingly great start to a contemporary popular manga series! Excellent pacing explaining the sport while equally hooking readers in its underdog story.
I highly recommend watching the anime adaptation as well, available through our own library system and through legal online streaming sites like crunchyroll and vrv.
