From Library Staff

The rich banker, the senior citizen, the Senegalese football star, the Pakistani shop owner, the meter maid and the street artist all receive the same cryptic message: “We Want What You Have.” This award-winning BBC drama was adapted from John Lanchester’s novel of the same name.

A BBC cultural drama that started off with an annoying prank like mystery in an affluent London neighborhood where home prices set records, monthly. As police tried to identify the perpetrator, the colorful residents, their extended family and mostly foreign born neighborhood workers faced other big social issues that plague many western big cities today. Highly entertaining story adapted from the 2012 John Lanchester's novel set in South London before 2008's global financial meltdown.

Sort of a ho-hum who done it. Not great.

A bit tough to follow(perhaps because I sometimes miss the meaning of British sayings) but a good story and somewhat tragic story in the end.
