(*Nazi quote*) - "Yes. We can do it better!"

"The Nazi Games" is really quite an intriguing history-documentary that takes a close-up look behind the scenes of how the 11th Olympiad happened to take place in Nazi Germany (1936).

With that vile and despicable Nazi-monster, Adolf Hitler clearly running the show (and obviously violating human rights, left, right, and centre) - He actually managed to pull the wool over everyone's eyes (despite an initial USA boycott) and gained full approval from the International Olympic Committee to hold the games in Berlin.

*Note* - 2 years following the games - Nazi Germany declared war against the world.... And, the rest, of course, is WW2 history.

The 11th Olympiad (which was held in Berlin, Germany - 1936) is considered to be one of the greatest media events in world history.

In direct collaboration with the International Olympic Committee - Arrogant, Nazi dictator, Adolf Hitler deliberately set out to completely out-do all other Olympic games before. And, yes. Indeed. ($450 million later) He certainly achieved his goal.

Through "never-before-seen" archival footage, along with interviews from various historians - This first-rate history-documentary gives the viewer an insider's look at all of the double-dealings, all of the political wranglings, and all of the "blind-eye" turning that took place behind the scenes of a global event that should have been flatly denied that despicable fascist leader, Hitler, considering who he was and what he was clearly up to with his horrific "Nazi" agenda.

An interesting film about the Nazi Olympics, and the corruption behind those games. It is amazing the influence they had on all the games since. The spectacle of the Games remains.

This is a well-told documentary about the events that led to Berlin hosting the 1936 Olympic Games and the legacy these Games left on the Olympic movement. There are some really interesting details about the proposed exclusion of minority groups, the manoeuvrings behind the scene, but most of all the ideological symbols of these Games that not only survived despite the world-wide condemnation of Nazis, but actually became the central symbols of the Olympic Games today. A great history lesson, multi-faceted, surprising and unforgettable.
