Marvelous debut from author Mishell Baker. The tightly-plotted story balances depth of characters with compellingly tense action. Baker takes plenty of risks without ever leaving this reader dangling from an unresolved plot point or shaking his head at overstretched credibility. An engaging and thought-provoking read!

Arden Hammersmith does a fine job on the audiobook narration. She captures the overall youthful energy of the main characters, and lends grit to the book's more terrifying passages.
