I love all the books written by Patricia McConnell and this new one does not disappoint. She writes so clearly, honestly and with a style that is so inviting. This book is much different from her previous books as she writes about her own past struggles with trauma. As Patricia deals with a newly adopted dog's (Willie) extreme behavior problems she also confronts her deepest secrets and traumas of her past. In helping Willie, she also helps herself. I highly recommend this book for not only anyone who loves dogs, but for a truly wonderful read.
