This book has lovely illustrations and stories but most importantly the exercises actually stick and make a difference. My son's favorite, that he continues to do months after we last read this book, is the "hot chocolate" exercise.

This is a great book for children that are learning self regulation. It gives a lot of tips for controlling your breathing and relaxing, focusing.

Found reading a meditation AND working it with the children each day was fun and fulfilling not only for them but for myself! Each found many that were their FAVES. So, a separate time was picked to meditate only favorite mindfulness quests - I would get each started and place headphones on them to provide an opportunity to get another started on their mindfulness meditation. Once all were in practice - I removed the headphones and stated with chimes that we would continue for "x" minutes more and work to sync their breathing. It was AWESOME!!!

Wonderfully fun and easy way to help children (and adults!) learn to take a moment and breathe. The book (and music CD) can be used over and over to build self-regulation in our little ones!

My coworker showed me this one and it's helpful, inspiring, compelling, imaginative, intentional, and so applicable to anyone who spends extended time with children.

Alerting children to the fact that they have control over their breath (and bodies) empowers them to exercise powerful emotional self regulation.
