What a total waste of 86 minutes. The majority of the characters in this movie are rip-offs from Marvel. I think it would be safe to say that any self respecting writer should cringe at the thought of having their name attached to something like this.

As is typical in these types of 'super-hero" movies all the women (two in this case) have what some consider to be perfect figures, and wear skimpy costumes to show them off. The four men on the other hand all have huge biceps, and 8-packs (6 isn't quite good enough, I guess). The men are always in charge, and the women are portrayed as rather weak, or crazy characters (just a little misogynistic, eh?)

This movie did have a rather sensitive portrayal of a lesbian couple, that was quite well done. Unfortunately one of the women accidentally crosses her father and he shoots her. We never actually find out what happens to her, as the last scene we see her in has her in a hospital bed.

The plot centres around a hit squad (good role-models for children, eh?) who are sent to retrieve a card by their boss who is dying. The card will grant the holder upon their death a guarantee of admission to heaven (or at least they won't go to hell). The dying boss by the way has the ability to kill any of the hit squad at the touch of a button in the event any of them disobey her orders, as they have explosives implanted in their necks (another great role-model, do what I say or you die).

So let's see where are we? We have misogyny, homophobia, sanctioned murder, stereotypical characters, poor writing with sufficient plot holes to drive a truck through, oh and rather poor artwork too!

Don't waste the power it takes to open the tray on your DVD player!

Definitely not for kids and definitely better than the live action movie. Violent and crazy, I don't even think the comics get like this. Quite a few casualties to count and Amanda Waller is her usual ruthless self.

A get out of hell free card (literally) is the mcguffin in this animated film featuring the criminals forced to do the bidding of the government team. Waller sends Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, and some new faces to the team (though familiar enough to comics readers) in this story that has them facing off against Vandal Savage. Christian Slater does a cynical but capable voice take on Deadshot, and there are a few welcome surprises along the line. Animated or not, this isn't for kids- there's language, violence, and even a bit of tasteful nudity along the way, so bear that in mind.

Rather poor story. Feels like a lot of the characters are copied from Marvel.

Ok, the first thing you need to know is this is rated R for a reason. A whole lot of violence, I mean a lot deaths..a whole lot, sure they mostly all deserve it but a lot. Blood, check Sex check. F-bombs check. so not for children is it entertaining for adults, check it is also A couple of the most Godly lines I have heard in a film in a long time. there is also redemption faith and charity in this film so see it once for yourself before you let the kids. God Bless

THIS IS NOT A KIDS MOVIE!!!! Profane language, extreme violence and sexual scenes. As an adult I LOVED this movie.
