The author created a plot with many twists and turns, and it is utterly believable. Be prepared for the hair on your neck to stand up on end. It is truly a murder mystery.

I read this book immediately after reading "Sharp Objects" by Gillian Flynn, so the bar was set pretty high. I read the Wife Between Us by this duo years ago, and while the twists and turns of that book were pretty far fetched, they were far more interesting than the "thrilling" moments of this book. While I think that An Anonymous Girl has an interesting concept, I found that the authors frequently over explained and over dramatized what were pretty simple and ordinary moments, which lead to the book also seeming rather far fetched and hard to read at times.....like, rolling my eyes hard to read.

The most thought obviously went in to creating Dr. Shields character (and she is a really complex and well thought out character), but other than her, the other characters in this book are very dull and kind of.....well, awful. Even Jess, a main character in this book, has such as dull dialogue and is so downright unintelligent at times that it's infuriating.

The book really picked up in pace about halfway through, and did get to a point where it was thrilling to wonder what the purpose of this madness was. But when the ending came and the "mystery was solved" I was super disappointed. For a 371 page book with such an intense build up, the ending was really the least intense part of the entire book.

It's not the worst book, but it's really not great either. As far as thrillers go, I would definitely recommend other books before this one.

I don’t know.......I was expecting a little more from this book. I was hoping for a twist or a “gotcha” at the end, but it kept the same tone throughout and didn’t waiver at all. The first few chapters can tell you how the last few chapters will read. Very anticlimactic.

An Anonymous Girl was a wonderfully dark and suspenseful novel about love, anger, betrayal, morality, and obsession. Sarah Pekkanen and Greer Hendricks have done it again!

Absolutely loved the plot twists and turns that this novel offered. The only complaint I would have is the ending- it seemed almost rushed. BUT overall a great read.

It’s an interesting psychological study for the first half of the book. Then it slows down, degenerating into the panicked heroine cliché until an abrupt, somewhat implausible and convenient resolution, which is partially redeemed by a fitting conclusion to the book’s morality theme.

A very well written and engaging story with a cat and mouse plot and scheme type of narrative. The story was written in a way that keeps you interested and wanting more until you have reached the ending! Which of course leaves you wondering....THEN WHAT HAPPENS? I gave it all 5 because I think although it did take me longer to read then the traditional reading time for a novel this size I really enjoyed reading it and never got bored or "stuck" I love the story and I was really into and had a few shock value moments as well.
