This is an outstanding bio-pic of Neil Armstrong and NASA's early space flight program. Ryan Gosling gives a command performance of Neil Armstrong as a complex, vulnerable, and determined human being. The visual effects/cinematography were great, too.

This is a great first hand look at what the guys went through when they were preparing for the world changing event. Brings a great human side to those legendary names You know and respect. Any time you can take something historic and bring it home it’s a win in my book. I loved this movie.

We don't even get to see the tears under the visor.
I usually rate my top three movies as "Drive" (Refn/Gosling), "The American" (Corbjin/Clooney), and "The Proposition" (Nick Cave/ Guy Pierce)...(and an addiction to the live-action "Ghost in the Shell"). But this is on a whole new planet. Or moon, I should say. Astounding.

Most of the effects and space details in this movie is awesome. The acting was great. The characters were really believable. However, the problem with accuracy in movies like this is that it is boring to the audience. Liberty should have been taken to somehow amplify the story in the name of entertainment, but it wasn't. So if you want to watch a dramatic re-enactment of real life events, this is your movie. It might be a good watch for those that want to learn about Neil Armstrong but don't want to go and read about him.

The way Neil and his wife looking at each other like strangers, I sense it as a mystery film without a mystery. I think it’s too dramatized.

How can you take one of the most exciting events in our time and make it boring, boring, boring and boring! Should have been 90 minutes long.

Brilliant film. Very detailed and provides a number of facts about Neil Armstrong, his family, and the mission to the Moon. The sound effects and filming of the the "Agena Spin" scene are well-done. Recommend watching the Blu-Ray version, if you can.

Well worth watching. The right person for the job, but still just as human as everyone else.

The career & home challenges of an astronaut whose goal is to land on the moon. Astronauts and their families are just human too.

IMDb posted the best ones though there's more, many technical though. These ones are interesting as well:

I barely lasted two minutes in that ice bath. Of course, I suppose
NASA's more interested in the psychological reaction.
-Well, I think I made it pretty clear that I thought it was cold.
===
As you know, our decision to forego direct ascent in favor of a lunar orbit
rendezvous approach to the eventual Moon mission has had a major impact
on Gemini. Do you have any thoughts on that decision?
-Well, even considering von Braun's initial criticism, it seems that the payload saved by parking the primary vehicle in orbit and sending a smaller ship
down to the lunar surface is well worth the resulting challenges.
What do you see as the challenges?
-Cislunar navigation, for one. And rendezvous and docking.
===
Mrs. Armstrong! Have all your prayers been answered?
-Yes, yes, they have.
How would you describe the flight?
-Well, uh, I can only say it was outta this world.
