Great book about worry for those kiddos who think ignoring or not talking about worry will help them. I use this in therapy often.

This is a great story for children of all ages. It shows that people everywhere have worries. The things that cause stress begin small and we don't even notice them at first. If we ignore them however; they grow to be "enormous". As Ruby tries to carry on as normal, she notices that her worry is with her all the time. Soon the worry becomes the only thing she can think about. Eventually she meets a boy who has a worry of his own. Together they discover that the best thing they can do to deal with their worries is to talk about them. Filled with beautiful illustrations, children will easily understand the concepts as the bright yellow worry grows and finally shrinks.

This book acknowledges that everyone worries, including young children. It doesn't tell the reader not to worry but teaches them that everyone worries, there are ways to deal with worry, and reassures them that worries "never hang around for long".
