The Eye of the World is a good book! I think one of the main reasons that I liked this book was because it was just one big adventure story that always left me interested in finding out what happened next. The characters were hilarious and likable, and there also wasn't any weird or unnecessary parts that its prequel, New Spring, was full of. This book would probably be enjoyable for any fan of fantasy stories, but I think that this would be especially good for a Lord of The Rings fan. I found a lot of similarities between this novel and The Fellowship of the Ring, and if you're into that series or even the movies, it's fun to come across all these similarities. (I also think that the Inheritance Cycle was at least partly inspired by this book, or maybe the whole series, but maybe not). The glossary in the back of this book was helpful as the characters sometimes talk about places and people as if the reader already knows who, what, or where they're talking about. The ending might be a little confusing at first, but it makes sense once you either reread it or look up a summary. Because this book is long, it does require motivation and dedication. But I'd encourage people to finish it because I think it's definitely worth reading.
